Quality

Partnering with DVI

This software integrates with our system to provide a remote, online Rx ordering program. Providers can log onto the SWEEP website and then order, reorder, or track the progress of eyeglasses moving through the lab. Built-in prompts reduce the potential for inaccurate or incomplete orders. Your order will be processed and integrated into our lab software by the end of each business day.

Quality Assurance

All lenses produced at SWEEP Optical conform to the most current FDA Impact Conformance Regulation and/or the ANSI Z87.2 High Impact requirement. We offer lenses from top manufacturers, and are continually updating the lenses we carry.

Customer Service

We know producing high quality eyewear is important. So, too, is customer service that keeps you informed every step of the way. We are responsive to requests and inquiries, and we take a proactive stance if there is a delay or any irregularity. Most of all, our staff enjoy working with providers and often exceed their expectations.

Dedicated Associates

As an OregonForward company, 75% to 85% of our staff who produce eyewear are individuals with a disability, with support and training from our lead technicians who have over 25 years of combined experience.

Lori Jones
Director
Lori works with many manufacturers to obtain quality frames and lenses at the best value. She also ensures providers receive prompt and courteous support from our customer service department. Lori began her career at Laurel Hill Center, SWEEP’S parent company, in reception and accounts receivable. She transferred to Optical in 2006, and has worked in a variety of positions before taking the helm in 2011.

John LeMay, ABOC
Lead Lab Technician
John LeMay started his employment with Sweep Optical in October 2014. His diverse background from dental ceramist, office equipment repair and photo lab technician provides a strong knowledge base of commercial and industrial processes. In addition to his lab experience, John holds a degree in science, physics and electronic engineering.

John’s strong understanding of the dynamics involved with the production processes of manufacturing quality eyewear combined with his understanding of detailed, precision lab work make him an ideal fit as a Lead Lab Technician. As a lead technician, John maintains the equipment and machinery ensuring proper calibration to optimize their performance for daily operations.

After joining the team at SWEEP Optical, he discovered how rewarding it was when a patient puts on their new glasses and exclaims, “I can see!”  Being a part of the team that manufactures quality, affordable eyewear inspired John to study for and take the National Board of Opticianry Competency Examination to be a certified eye care professional. He became a Certified Optician in November of 2016.  Like the rest of the SWEEP Optical team, John strives to provide each patient with the best quality eyewear essential to providing maximum visual comfort.

In addition to his role with the SWEEP Optical laboratory, John has been the active representative for SWEEP Optical on the safety committee team for SWEEP’s parent company, Laurel Hill Center, since 2017.
